Young people said they needed mentors. Local people and entrepreneurs volunteered!
Sheppey Employment Forum held an event in the fabulous Dockyard Church this evening bringing together students, supported by mentors, with local businesses. To increase awareness of job opportunities, practice speaking with employers and recognise transferrable skills. What a buzz! The occasion lifted my heart.
The students from Sheppey College and the Pyramid Project did themselves proud. Entrepreneurs from Launch It were inspiring.
